This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of our Terms of Use. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms.
1. Permitted use
You may use the App only for lawful personal or internal business purposes related to managing your Apple Contacts and applying profile photos you have the right to use.
Permitted examples:
- Updating colleagues’ photos where your employer permits it and subjects are informed as required;
- Maintaining accurate client or customer cards in a CRM-linked workflow you control;
- Saving public social handles you are allowed to associate with a contact;
- Reviewing ambiguous matches before applying photos.
2. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
2.1 Privacy and rights violations
- Apply photos or identifiers to contacts without a valid legal basis under applicable privacy law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Use the App to stalk, harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation.
- Process special-category personal data (e.g. health, religion, sexual orientation) through the App unless you have explicit lawful authority and safeguards.
2.2 Data misuse
- Bulk-harvest third-party profile data beyond normal in-App matching and sync flows.
- Build or sell contact lists, datasets, or profiles derived from the App for unrelated marketing or surveillance.
- Combine App output with other data to infer sensitive attributes about individuals without lawful basis.
2.3 Technical abuse
- Circumvent technical access controls, rate limits, OAuth scopes, or security settings (URL policy, on-device processing mode).
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App except where law expressly permits.
- Introduce malware, probe systems, or attempt unauthorized access to our or Apple’s infrastructure.
- Overload third-party APIs or use automated scripts outside the App’s intended UI and shortcuts.
2.4 Content violations
- Upload or apply unlawful, infringing, obscene, or hateful images.
- Apply images you know to be false or misleading in a context that could harm the data subject.
2.5 Platform and Apple rules
- Violate Apple App Store Review Guidelines, Apple Developer Program License Agreement, or any connected platform’s terms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Slack, etc.).
- Use the App in embargoed jurisdictions or if you are on restricted party lists.
3. Organizational use
If you deploy the App within a company:
- You are responsible for employee training, acceptable use rules, and data protection impact assessments where required.
- You must honor data subject rights and employment law.
- We are not your data processor for centralized server processing of contacts—we provide on-device tools to end users.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations. Actions may include:
- suspending or terminating your license;
- reporting activity to law enforcement or platforms;
- cooperating with legal process.
You remain liable for damages and indemnification per the Terms of Use.
5. Reporting abuse
Report suspected misuse of our App or policies to:
support@orangejuiceapplications.com (subject: “Acceptable Use Report”)
Include relevant details. We may not be able to act on reports unrelated to our App.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP. Continued use after the effective date in the App constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
